Mr. and Mrs. Iverson first came to the agency in May 2018 after Mr. Iverson lost his job. The family consists of their two children and Mr. Iverson's disabled sister. Even though Mr. Iverson was unable to pay rent, he was able to manage household bills by doing landscape work around his neighborhood. Mr. and Mrs. Iverson were dedicated to their case management sessions and attended budget sessions, financial literacy classes, and even showed a desire to gain more information about First Time Home Buyers workshops. The agency was able to advocate on the Iverson's behalf for a payment arrangement for which he was able to satisfy with income earned from temp jobs and landscape work. Mr. Iverson displayed tenacity and diligence during his employment search. Mr. and Mrs. Iverson utilized agency referrals to gain use of computers for employment searches. Mr. Iverson's diligence paid off when he was able to obtain gainful employment in August 2018 at the Target Distribution Center in Midway, GA. The Iverson's have regained self-sufficiency.
