For more than 21 years Vicky Nelson has served the Hinesville community in varies position such as the Development Authority Board, Family Connections and many others. on January 4th she affirmed her commitment in council chambers packed with dignitaries, city workers, family members and friends Nelson was sworn in as the city councilwomen for the 3rd district. Nelson and fellow Councilwomen Reid, District 1, made history serving as the first elect African-America Councilwomen to serve the Hinesville community.
On behalf of Coastal Georgia Area Community Action Authority, the staff and the Board of Directors would like to congratulate Vicky Nelson on becoming the newly elected Councilwoman for District 3 within the City of Hinesville.
Mrs. Nelson has been a dedicated employee with Coastal Georgia Area CAA since 1999. During her tenure, she has served in many capacities such as Family Service Worker, Center Supervisor and most recently as the agency’s Compliance Officer. Her zeal, dedication to the community and compassion for people, particularly seniors and children, has always exemplified itself in her daily actions. Mrs. Nelson will be a positive, productive and progressive Councilwoman who will represent the City of Hinesville and District 3 with integrity and balance.
